DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue Massage. Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Trigger point therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. It may also be called myofascial (myo meaning muscle, fascial meaning connective tissue) trigger point therapy.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of massage based on preliminary evidence which is hypothesized to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
STRETCHING
Assisted Stretching, also known as partner stretching, is a type of stretching where another person, or partner, is used to help further stretch the muscles.
RELAXING SWEDISH
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Jackson, TN. I have been a full-time licensed massage therapist since 2011 after graduating from Anthem College in Orlando, Florida.
I worked professionally for 12 years in Nashville before moving to Decaturville in April 2022.
My style is a blend of therapeutic touch and relaxing bodywork customized to each client. I hope every guest leaves with a smile and feeling renewed!
When I am not massaging, I enjoy boating on the TN River with my husband David and my Dachshund puppy, Rowdy.
I am happy to be a part of the Decatur County community and hope to serve it well.
